Priyanka celebrates her birthday July 18. The year is quite packed for her with films like the 'Agneepath' remake, 'Barfee', 'Krrish' and Kunal Kohli's next with Shahid Kapoor.
Raveena excited about 'powerful' role in 'Alert'
After playing an over the top part and shaking a leg in 'Bbuddah...Hoga Tera Baa', (BHTB) ravishing Raveena Tandon is looking forward to an invariably different part in 'Alert' opposite Sanjay Dutt.
'Excited now about 'Alert', back to chiffon sarees!! The character I'm playing is very powerful...looking forward, different from BHTB,' Raveena posted on micro-blogging site Twitter.
'In BHTB, I was playing a loud madcap, over the top kinda woman, who overdresses, a drama queen, is flamboyant, totally opp of Hemaji's role. Some got it, and some didn't...but in 'Alert', it's the opposite, an understated sophisticated powerful woman,' she added.
'Bbuddah..', which features megastar Amitabh Bachchan in the lead, released Friday.
Prakash Jha game for masala films!
He is known for making serious movies on socio-political issues, but filmmaker Prakash Jha doesn't rule out making a typical Bollywood potboiler.
'Why not? Why do people think I can't make a masala film? I can, and I might...but not at the moment,' Jha, who made a love story called 'Dil Kya Kare' with Ajay Devgn and Kajol, told IANS.
The National Award-winning filmmaker is currently busy gearing up for the release of his next film 'Aarakshan', about caste-based reservations in the Indian education system.
After 'Aarakshan', Jha has 'two more subjects' in the pipeline. Alas, none are masala entertainers.
