Pratik Gandhi on Scam 1992 becoming top rated India shows on IMDb: Whatever is coming looks and feels surreal

Hansal Mehta directorial web series Scam 1992: The Harshad Mehta Story has managed to find a way into the hearts of the audiences and it continues to receive a lot of love. As it turns out, the show has managed to find a strong place in IMDb's list of the most popular web series and TV shows across the world. 

Featuring Pratik Gandhi as Harshad Mehta, the show narrates the tale of the biggest security scams in the country that happened back in time. Pratik exclusively spoke to India Forums and expressed how he is overwhelmed about the show finding such a place and continuing to receive so much love. 

Ask him if this feels the success after the success, he says, ''This is completely overwhelming, I keep saying this in interviews also, we never had any idea about what would follow when we made the show. It is my first ever main stream show, I had no clue about it, it was also my first time working in a long format. Whatever is coming looks and feels surreal, the love and encouragement we got and continue receiving and lots of people watching it. I receive emails about how there are people who have watched it 16-24 times. It is a happy feeling.''

Ask him what are the other firsts he is looking forward to and he says, ''I am looking forward to create interesting characters. I am getting a lot of offers and it took me 16 years to get this kind of recognition when people are taking me seriously and they have faith and confidence in me as an actor. It is a dream for me as an actor. When people want to work with you and recognize you, it is all that actors live for.''

Scam 1992 has a rating of 9.6 out of 10 as o now and also managed to become one of the top 10 user-rated shows in 2020. As of now, it has made a place as one of the highest-rated shows on IMDb among the top 250 shows with the likes of Breaking Bad, Chernobyl, and more. Currently, it holds the 9th spot, however, the rank does keep fluctuating.
