Pranali Rathod and Akshay Bindra LOCKED as new leads for Kumkum Bhagya: REPORTS

Ekta Kapoor's longest running show Kumkum Bhagya has been under the scanner for quite some time now. The show, currently in its third generation is all set to take a generation leap soon, post which, Abrar Qazi and Rachi Sharma, the current leads of the show will call it quits. India Forums had exclusively reported about the same to our readers a few days ago.

While there has been a lot of buzz surrounding the new cast of the show post the generation leap, recent media reports suggest that the makers of Kumkum Bhagya have finally locked the leads of the show. According to a media report, Pranali Rathod and Akshay Bindra have been roped in as the new leads of Kumkum Bhagya. While Pranali has a popular show like Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai to her kitty, Akshay is popularly known for his stint in Jio Cinema's Temptation Island. Both Pranali and Akshay are yet to comment on the same as of now.

As for Abrar and Rachi, we had reached out to the actors for their comment on the leap. While Rachi stated that she is unaware about the same, Abrar had confirmed the leap but had refuted the news of his exit from the show.

On the work front, Pranali's last show 'Durga' miserably failed to meet the expectations of her viewers after the actress' successful stint in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. The show could not manage to garner ratings and was eventually axed.
