Pranali Rathod & Akshay Bindra FAIL TO IMPRESS, Kumkum Bhagya to GO OFF AIR?

Zee TV's longest running show Kumkum Bhagya has been on the radar for quite some time now. The show, which was once on the top of the TRP charts has been struggling to keep up its game for months now. After its spin off, Kundali Bhagya went off air, it was anticipated that Kumkum Bhagya too is set to be axed. However, Abrar Qazi, the then lead of the show refuted these rumours and called them false.

Amidst the ongoing drama, the makers of the show decided to revamp the story in order to revive the show for the viewers. As a result of the same, Kumkum Bhagya headed for a generation leap thus replacing Abrar Qazi and Rachi Sharma. Pranali Rathod and Akshay Bindra were then roped in as the new leads. However, looks like, this only further worsened everything for the makers of the show. Ever since the leap and the introduction of Pranali and Akshay as the new leads, the viewership of the show has only dropped further. So much so, the show recently secured its 'lowest since premiere' ratings.

Well now, as per recent media reports, Pranali and Akshay's show Kumkum Bhagya is all set to go off air. Reports further suggest that the final episode of the show will be released in the month of May. While official confirmation on the same is awaited, it will be no shocker if the show is axed, since it has reportedly been under the scanner for quite some time now.

For the uninformed, Kumkum Bhagya started off with Shabbir Ahluwalia and Sriti Jha in the lead roles.
