“Living with my mother here in Mumbai is a blessing I never take for granted,” he said. While television shoots often run late into the night and schedules change frequently, Akshay says his mother brings a sense of routine and emotional support that helps him stay focused. “She’s been my constant—my biggest cheerleader, my quiet strength, and the one who always keeps me grounded,” he added.

This year, for Mother’s Day, Akshay has planned a small gathering at home. The idea, he says, is to give his mother some time to relax and reconnect with people she hasn’t seen in a while. “An intimate get-together with her closest friends and our family—something she’s truly been missing,” he said.

He also pointed out how easy it is to take relationships for granted in the rush of daily life. “In this industry, everything moves fast. It’s easy to lose touch with what really matters. But she keeps me anchored.”
