Prabhu Deva to recreate Mukkala Muqabala after 25 years for Street Dancer 3D!

Prabhu Deva became a dancing legend because of his famous song Mukkala Muqabala for his 1994 Tamil film Kadhalan. 25 years ago, he set an example and changed the meaning of dance. Now in the age of remakes and remixes, Street Dancer 3D starring Varun Dhawan and Shraddha Kapoor is all set to reprise the iconic song. 

Varun and Shraddha are working non-stop in London and Dubai for their upcoming movie along with their director Remo D’souza. According to Mumbai Mirror reports, Prabhu Deva will give a minute long performance on the song. The portion has already shot in Dubai where Prabhu Deva stunned everyone with his awe-inspiring act. Varun Dhawan and Shraddha Kapoor cheered him on as they looked on.

A source close to Mumbai mirror revealed, “It was shot during the on-going Dubai schedule with Prabhudheva taking center stage for a minute-long solo performance, effortlessly repeating the difficult moves in a single take.”

Varun Dhawan took to his official social media handle and tweeted, “Back after 25 years. Can’t wait for you to see the magic @PDdancing has created. Had goosebumps while watching him now I will be quiet #SD3”

Bhushan Kumar is producing Street Dancer 3D along with Divya Khosla Kumar and Lizelle D’souza. Reliving the era of the 90s Bhushan Kumar said, “There is a situation in the film where we see Prabhudheva showcase his dance moves and I knew we needed Muqabala back. The audience will be blown away by the choreography and will love the new version as much as the original.”

Along with Varun and Shraddha, the movie also features Nora Fatehi, Sonam Bajwa, Dharmesh, Shakti Mohan and Vartika in lead roles. This film is set to be a treat for all dance lovers, we are sure.
