The shoot of the much-awaited show Pavitra Rishta 2.0 began a few days back. The project will release on the digital platform. While Ankita Lokhande will be seen reprising her role of Archana in the show, Shaheer Sheikh will step in as Manav. The project will also have popular faces like Randeep Rai, Usha Nadkarni, Suchitra Bandekar among others.
India Forums got in touch with Randeep Rai and quizzed him about bagging the show. Speaking about his role and character, Randeep said, “Initially when I got the offer and I learned that it’s for the second instalment of Pavitra Rishta which is Sushant Singh Rajput’s claim-to-fame show, I felt the emotional connect. While I was emotionally inclined for the project, I did have a new doubts about my character which were resolved in a detailed meeting post which I decided to do the show. The makers told me that it’s a special appearance”.
Talking about shooting experience with Shaheer Sheikh, Randeep added, “It’s an absoulute delight to work with an actor par excellence like him. I got to learn so much from him; not only work wise, but just by observing the way he carries himself. He is a brother figure to me and playing his younger brother came effortlessly and naturally to me. I call him ‘Shaheer Bhai’ and I remember while shooting our scenes also, I called him ‘Bhai’ instead of ‘Dada’. Apart from him, it was nice working with Ankita and even with Aai (Usha Nadkarni)”.
We asked Randeep as to what’s keeping him away from doing full fledged roles on TV or web. The actor said, “Honestly, nothing great is coming my way. I’m not saying that there are no good projects. Many unconventional stuffs are being made but I’m not getting great offers and I can’t do anything and everything that comes my way just for the sake. I’m waiting for the right opportunity to come my way”.
