Paurashpur actress Kashish Rai says she almost had to give up the show, here’s why

The show Paurashpur turned out to be a massive success this year. Bringing a larger than life scale, grandeur, and phenomenal performances, the show's appreciation had been getting ever since its release is commendable. Paurashpur continued to receive wide praise from all across and became a success on the streaming platform with its challenging and thought-provoking storyline. 

Actress Kashish Rai plays the role of princess queen Kusumlata in magnum opus, Paurashpur. Featuring an ensemble cast, the show has been set at a grander scale and continues to be one of the biggest and most regal shows in the streaming platforms' content history.

The wife of the eldest prince of Paurushpur is bold and sarcastic but what we don't know is that she had almost given up on doing the show as she revealed, "I signed the show in February, and after this world went into lockdown. I went back to my hometown Punjab, and certain things happened in my family, so I decided not to do this show because I was a little occupied. Then, of course, this was meant to be. I was so glad that I did this show."

Kashish Rai has always been fond of acting, and her mother is also an actress. After completing her studies, she visited Mumbai, during which one of her relatives asked her to audition for the film. This audition selected rai, and she started her acting career with a film. Rai started her television career with the essential role of Pooja Sippy in the romantic drama series Kahaan Hum Kahaan Tum and immensely gained popularity and fame with her craft. The actress has won hearts with her fearless, outgoing role in Paurashpur and is basking in the praise. 

The teaser and character introduction videos created quite an intrigue in the audience, ahead of the release. Since the release, fans have been giving raving reviews to the show and showering their love across social media. The period-drama series directed by Shachindra Vats stars Annu Kapoor, Shilpa Shinde, Milind Soman, Sahil Salathia, Shaheer Sheikh, Kashish Rai, Anantvijay Joshi, Poulomi Das, Flora Saini, Aditya Lal, and Ashmita Bakshi, among others.
