Pailwaan review: A gut-wrenching attempt which has no substantial foundation!

Pailwaan written and directed by S Krishna narrates the story of a wrestler who aims to achieve his father's dreams of becoming a world-renowned wrestling champion...

Ever thought of a cinema that is nothing but stereotypical, has over the board action sequences, which uses all the colors in a single frame, which has all the unnecessary drama and dialogues which are nothing but cringe-worthy and most importantly - it feels never-ending?

Well, Pailwaan is the perfect example and in a league of it's own!

The film fails to draft the real reason for its birth. Although, the question remains - if the film had a budget of 50 Cr where was all the money invested (considering poor performance and mediocre team)?

The script lacks any substantial foundation and it seems dangling on thin hope of Suniel Shetty and Sushant Singh. While they managed to grab everyone's attention the makers could have managed to convince a sensible attempt out of them, yet they wasted an excellent opportunity and a resource. It's hilarious how the makers have failed to utilize the talents of the actors who could have handled the film with utmost elegance.

The plot has been scattered all over the place and it's upon the audience to understand. Initially, the audience is introduced with an antagonist - a boxer who's pure evil. (First subplot). Pailwaan later loses its focus and turns to another antagonist who is a part-time wrestler and a full-time king (Second subplot). Later, Kichcha rises as a Messiah of poor and hungry children who is waiting to be rescued (Third subplot). You'd wonder what's the real plot? Well, that's still a mystery!

In its right sense the film is just too loud and thanks to the amateur editors your ears will be ringing by the end of this non-sensical drama. Over the board action sequences in a wrestling match, who would think of it!

As we boil down towards the end of this unending drama, we finally arrive at a boxing tournament which is just a Walmart version of Apne. Encompassed with average performances Sudeep and Aakanksha Singh the film failed the audience in many ways!

It's highly advisable to avoid this film. However, if you are a Pehelwan you'd definitely love this film.
