Over 500 costumes for wedding sequence in Mirziya

Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra is pulling all stops for his next film Mirziya, a contemporary love story set in Rajasthan. Saiyami Kher's wedding sequence in the film is one of the most integral sequences of the film. Since it was a grand Rajasthani wedding, Rakeysh needed everything to look perfect. He looked into each and every detail, from the costume on each and every person on the set to the decoration.

Considering the scale of the sequence, a lot of junior artistes were involved and they needed authentic costumes for each and every person. So a professional pagdi wala was called who made over 500 pagdis. Also, more than 500 jootis and costumes were arranged for the scene.

Rakeysh made sure that each and every junior artist was in the perfect costume from head to toe. In fact, Rakeysh even called for five trucks of marigold flowers for the sequence. He is leaving no stone unturned for this project and is personally looking into all the detailing.

It is one of the most anticipated films and a huge launch vehicle for debutant Harshvardhan Kapoor and Saiyami Kher.
