Its Friendship Day today and in tune with the spirit of the occassion, we dedicate this day to our on-screen Telly town jodis who have not only entertained but also set out a perfect example of an unconditional friendship...
Friendship is a feeling of love and affection of one person for another. It is said that a friend in need is a friend in deed. There may be many friends at the time of prosperity but most of them desert at the time of adversity. We can examine the sincerity of a friend during our time of hardship and trouble. Only a sincere and faithful friend remains with us at the time of our trouble.

Sharing a number of common traits, innocent and bubbly Akshara (Hina Khan) and Varsha (Pooja Joshi) have been portrayed as childhood on-screen best friends. Both the actresses share all the underground secrets and are standing by each other irrespective of the circumstances. Throughout the journey of 1200 successful episodes, their pure bond of friendship went a level ahead and consequently Varsha got married to her love interest Shaurya- Akshara's brother, and this in fact helped Akshara and Varsha to come closer as sisters-in-law.

Mrs. Pammi Pyarelal brings a tale of two friends. Knitting dreams to do something big in their life, both Param (Gaurav Gera) and Rahul Pyarelal (Karan Goddwani) try the best of tactics to hunt down a house in the city of dreams Mumbai. On one end, where Param comes from Gorakhpur, leaving his old mother and handicapped sister behind, on the other Rahul is also an unsuccessful salesman who aspires to become a well-to-do business tycoon in Mumbai. Providing a much needed support to one another, both the characters go out of their way and bravely take up the challenge to be seen as a married couple to get cheap accommodation in a massive bungalow owned by the Fauzdar Family. Needless to say, this unique blend of friendship and comedy depicts an unconditional bond between two friends who are marred by fate and unfavorable circumstances, but are not low with trust for each other.

Veera has been revolving around a tale of two strangers (Nihal and Sampooran) who become good friends while traveling on the same route to their destination. It is friendship and the guilt of humankind that drags Nihal Singh (Kapil Nirmal) to Preetam Pura, so that he can reveal his sin to everybody about his unintentional endeavor to kill Sampooran (Sudhanshu Pandey). Nihal, who was a happy-go-lucky man, and exactly opposite to a grief stricken Sampooran, develops a strong friendship bond with Sampooran which causes Nihal to confess and unravel the truth behind Sampooran's death in front of his family. Friendship is not about counting years spent together, it's all about connection and affection for each other. Unsure of his life, Nihal also admits that there is a special bond they both share which is now making him to help look after Sampooran's family.

The larger-than-life show Bade Achhe Lagte Hai illustrates a perfect chaddi-buddy friendship between the on-screen characters Ram (Ram Kapoor) and Vikram (Jay Kalra). Both the business tycoons have faced several ups and downs in their life. However, Ram and Vikram are very casual and unfussy about their friendship. In fact, being best friends, they have always stepped further in times of need. Somewhere down the line, it is this bond that made Ram and Priya (Sakshi Tanwar) to grow closer when they tried to patch up the marriage of their best friends Vikram and Neha.
