The new year may have begun a few days ago, but the happiness in the rating charts will only be reflected starting today. Today presents the numbers of the last week of 2018, and all we can exclaim is that there couldn't have been a better way to bid last year goodbye. One parting show and one returning show got all the numbers. Let's see what happened.
At number 10 is
Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai as it drops from the 8th spot last week. But the difference in numbers is minimal at 14.4 points.

Falling down to the 9th spot is Yeh Hai Mohobbatein as it lost considerable numbers at 15.1 points.

Witnessing a surprising and minor rise in the list is
Ishqbaaaz - Pyaar Ki Ek Dhinchak Kahaani. The show has been the constant recipient of backlash post the revamp, but has somehow risen to the 8th spot with 17.0 points.

The falling saga continues with
Ishq Mein Marjawan also facing a decline to the 7th position with 21.0 points.
Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah becomes the recipient of unfair treatment as the show has actually risen in numbers to an amazing 25.5 points, but lost one spot to the 6th position.

Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2 faces a similar fate as Taarak Mehta, where it watches the numbers go high to 29.0 points, but drops one spot to the 5th position.

The wagon continues to
Naagin 3 as well, as inspite of a great rise to 31.2 points, the show loses its position from last week and goes to the 4th spot.

Making a grand entry into the list is
The Kapil Sharma Show Season 2. The debut of the returning comedy show was always supposed to make a splash and it did online with a fantastic 32.2 points. The show is here to stay.

After topping the charts last week,
Yeh Un Dinon Ki Baat Hai has lost its position to the 2nd spot at 33.9 points, but there is a one-time and fair reason to that.

And here is the reason why that happened, as the parting show,
Bigg Boss 12 ended its run on a high online. The show went on to top the charts on its finale with a staggering 35.0 points. The overall season was a flop, but, nevertheless, things were ended well.

With a debuting and a parting show raking in all the numbers, we wonder what will be the fate of these shows next week.
