Not skeptical to play a mother figure in ‘Imlie post five-years leap’: Seerat Kapoor aka Cheeni

Star Plus show ‘Imlie’ is getting the love of the audiences. The current track of the show revolves around Dhairya and Cheeni trying to make Atharva- Imlie and Rana family’s life miserable for their vested interests. However, Atharva and Imlie are standing strong together against them.

In the previous episodes, Imlie gets Dhairya and his mother in Rana’s house, which leaves Atharva’s mother furious. She questions her on the same and reprimands her for spoiling the dignity of the family. Things go out of hand, and Atharva leaves Rana's mansion and promises never to return.

As per the new promo, ‘Imlie’ will soon head for a five years leap. Imlie is pregnant with Atharva’s baby, and while she prepares a sweater for the baby, she gets the horrifying news of Atharva’s accident. Imlie will believe that Atharva died. She will also lose her baby. However, her life will turn upside down when she sees Atharva alive with Cheeni and a baby. Imlie will be shocked and will try to investigate the same.

India Forums got in touch with Seerat and asked her about her thoughts on the leap and playing a mother figure to a baby. Seerat is quite young, and we guess she might have second thoughts about playing a mother figure at this age. She quipped, “Well, honestly, I don’t get skeptical playing a mother onscreen because I feel the character is always very different from your real life, and I don’t have a problem as it is required for the character and script.”

Seerat as Cheeni is seen in a casual avatar in the promo. We asked her about the same. She said, “Yes, Cheeni will have a fresh new look to suit the storyline. She will be wearing more casual outfits and not the heavy Indian suits that she wore before the leap.”

We’re sure the leap will keep the audiences hooked to the show.
