Karan Vohra, who is seen in the lead role in Sphereorigins’ new show 'Meri Bhavya Life', feels people should judge others based on their looks.
He said, “People need to understand that not everyone is overweight because they eat too much. There can be multiple health issues or medical reasons. Society needs to stop judging by looks and instead focus on people’s qualities because those qualities are what last.”
“Looks are temporary, and this show will definitely impact the audience's perspective on society's beauty standards,” he added.

The show revolves around body shaming, where the female lead, Bhavya, is a plus-size woman who becomes a victim of it but wants people to look beyond her appearance. Talking about his character in the show, Karan said, “When I first read his character, I really liked it. He’s a fitness freak, into gyms, has a good physique, and is super confident. I could relate because I myself used to own a chain of gyms before entering the acting world.”
“For Rishank, fitness is everything; it's his lifestyle, his religion. Rishank is also a little spoiled, born with a ‘silver spoon’ kind of guy. But he has a past. He too went through trauma because he was fat during his childhood and was bullied for it. That made him hate the idea of gaining weight. He worked really hard to come back into shape and doesn’t want to go back there again. Because of his past, he has a kind of dislike for overweight people—not in a mean way, but just because of his personal experience. However, he’s also respectful, fun-loving, and full of life,” he added.

He also mentioned that his character doesn’t body shame people to insult them, but he just believes that having a good body gives you confidence. He further said, “Bhavya, on the other hand, is a gold medalist, highly intelligent, and a successful architect from Bhopal. She goes through a lot of body shaming but still becomes strong, bold, and confident. This journey will surely inspire many people.”
The actor feels privileged and special to be a part of Sphereorigins. He said, “It’s one of the top production houses that has given the industry many big and hit shows like Balika Vadhu and more such shows. I’m truly thankful to Comall Ma’am and Sunjoy Sir for believing in me, appreciating my work, and giving me this opportunity to be part of Meri Bhavya Life.”
“I will definitely work hard and make her and the entire team proud for sure,” Karan ended.
