New Delhi, March 17 (IANS) Model Pravesh Rana, who was the runner-up on Colors' 'Bigg Boss 3', is featuring on reality shows galore but says he is not inclined towards daily soaps at all.
'TV has given me whatever I have today. I am happy doing whatever I am doing but no daily soaps for me right now. Producers are making a major compromise on the quality of soaps these days, with most of them about depressing issues and that is something I am not okay with,' said Pravesh, who will be hosting the new children's dance reality show 'Chak Dhoom Dhoom' soon.
The 26-year-old says that his life changed drastically after he participated in 'Bigg Boss 3' and that he even received film offers.
'I won Mr.India in 2008 and thought the world would come to know me. But nothing like that happened. It was only through 'Bigg Boss' that I won recognition. When I came out of the show, I got a lot of film offers, but none was from a good production house. I realise that one's first film can either make or break a person's career. So I want to take that decision wisely,' he added.
'Bidaai' producer hunts for fresh faces
Television producer Rajan Shahi, known for his shows 'Bidaai' and 'Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai', is hunting for fresh faces and talent for a new show that he is set to produce for STAR Plus.
'For every show I take fresh faces and groom them into becoming the characters of my show. I am looking out for fresh young faces to play leads for my new show on STAR Plus,' Shahi said in a statement.
According to a source, the show will have Madhya Pradesh as its backdrop and Shahi is planning to search for the leads in Delhi, Chandigarh, Bhopal and Jammu.
Earlier, Shahi launched actors like Sara Khan, Parul Chauhan, Angad Hasija and Hina Khan, among others.
Bakhtiyaar Irani eyes career down south
Television actor Bakhtiyaar Irani is fed up with content on the small screen and wants to try his luck in the southern movie industry.
'I am very happy not doing TV shows right now because, according to me, there is a lot of crap happening on television. I want to concentrate on my movie career; I want to do south movies and start with something new. There is a good scope for me to do a good lead role there. I need to start from where everyone starts. So I am doing nothing but focussing on that these days,' Bakhtiyaar told IANS.
