Newbie Akash Jagga joins the cast of Kasautii Zindagii Kay; Reveals he had originally auditioned for Naagin 5

Kasautii Zindagii Kay has witnessed a new cast member in the form of Jaipur boy Akash Jagga. He went on to reveal just how the show happened to him and that he had sent some self-test videos, originally meant for the audition of Naagin 5. However, he was later offered a role in Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2 and when his manager asked him about the same, he was all for it.

Talking about his character, he told a leading portal, ''I am playing the character of Kaushik Basu, nephew of Anurag Basu. He’s a young, fun-loving, college-going boy, completed his schooling from Canada and now he’s back in India because he looks up to his uncle.'' A model by profession, Akash has been a part of theater for the longest time and worked on his skills. In fact, he had also come to Mumbai for auditions but nothing worked out and now, he has finally got the role of Kaushik in the show and has been shooting for over two weeks. He added how they've also been ensuring proper safety measures and precautions as well.

Meanwhile, Kasautii Zindagii Kay has been in the news for Parth Samthaan's exit. While the makers are keen on trying to keep him on board, there seem to be other issues as well. In addition, there were rumours about Erica Fernandes quitting the show as well, however, she outright denied them.
