Actor Parth Samthaan has finished his run on CID 2, ending his role as ACP Ayushmaan in the show’s recent episode. The team held a small farewell on set. Shivaji Satam, who plays the returning ACP Pradyuman, appeared to wish Parth well before the cameras rolled.
Parth joined CID 2 when the second season began in late 2024, stepping in as a lead officer after Shivaji Satam’s character was paused. His time on the show was always meant to be limited, though the writing extended his appearance. Parth had other projects waiting, so with Satam returning, he moved on.
In a short statement, Parth said he was glad to have had the chance to film with the team. He mentioned that acting alongside experienced cast members was different and that he had initially hesitated before taking the part. Once he agreed, he stayed on until his planned exit. He thanked the cast and crew and asked viewers to watch his future work.

Shivaji Satam has resumed his original role, and promos hint at his comeback, driving a new direction for the series. The production is set to shift its focus back to Satam’s character, centring on new cases and stories.
Parth has other projects lined up after his stint on CID 2. The team marked his departure with a simple gathering and thanked him for his time. As CID 2 moves forward with new episodes and cases, viewers will see Satam take the lead once again, and Parth will head into his next assignments.
Earlier, Parth shared that he had rejected the role at first. 'I was also hesitant due to the show’s long-standing cast and the fact that they’d have to address me as ‘sir’ on screen. It felt a bit unusual and awkward,” he said. He eventually agreed after being persuaded by the team.'
