The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) submitted an affidavit before the special Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) court on Monday denying allegations made by the personal bodyguard of a witness in the cruise drugs bust case allegedly involving Aryan Khan.

The NCB said the allegation of alleged extortion against the NCB official and money changing hands was a clear attempt to undermine the ongoing investigations and create pressure with malafide and ulterior motives.

Earlier, after Prabhakar Sail, the personal bodyguard of witness K P Gosavi, came out with a series of allegations including discussions of a payoff to NCB officials, Wankhede, wrote to the Mumbai police commissioner expressing fears that he may be framed in a case.

Sail said he witnessed the events of the cruise raid. He also went on record to state that he feared a threat to his life from Sameer Wankhede.

The NCB said that it was constrained to file the urgent plea in light of the "shocking developments which are coming to light".

It said that Sail did not file the affidavit before any court or judicial authority when it suddenly surfaced, the NCB's affidavit said,

"Instead of it being served through proper and legal channels, the same was published and discussed widely only to taint a false picture of the agency and dissuade it from performing its legal and moral duties".

The NCB further pointed out that the affidavit was filed just a couple of days prior to the bail hearing of Aryan Khan before the Bombay high court and when the bail pleas of all other accused are being heard by the special NDPS court.

The affidavit further said at this stage, Sail’s affidavit was an attempt to tamper and obstruct an ongoing investigation against which stringent action in accordance with law deserves to be taken.

For the unversed The Bollywood superstar's son was denied bail by the special NDPS court after which his lawyers moved a bail application in the Bombay High Court, the hearing of which will take place on October 26.

Wow! Bollywood trying all the scripts to save culprits. How do they sleep at night? Peacefully 🤔 I don’t think so.
