After a lot of hullabaloos, Star Plus' popular show Ishqbaaaz is all set to take on a new journey. After running for two years, the show will be taking a leap. Earlier, the makers planned for a smaller leap and endeavour the storyline of modern parenting but as Surbhi declined to play onscreen mother, the makers decided to bring a generation leap. Since today, Ishqbaaaz season 2 will start and from the past cast, only Nakuul will be seen as Shivaay (Nakuul) and Anika's (Surbhi) son. On the eve, Nakuul shared a heartfelt post and we can understand it is also difficult yet an exciting journey for the actor.

Sharing a picture of himself as Shivaansh Singh Oberoi, the actor wrote, "Life is full of surprises & challenges. When you least expect it, it throws a curve ball at you. Moving from the comforts of the known, one gets to take on roles and characters far away from your own. Ishqbaaaz has been one of the popular shows of television since it went on air. When the fans came to know that Surbhi will no longer be a part of the show, fans were left heartbroken. Now, with this generation leap, it will be interesting to see how the fans accept the change.
