Star Plus show ‘Anupamaa’ is getting the love of the audiences. The current track of the show revolves around Anupamaa being torn between being available for Toshu who’s recovering from a paralytic stroke and being there for her daughter Choti Anu.

The show took an unexpected turn with Paritosh suffering from a paralytic stroke. India Forums got in touch with Aashish and asked him about his first reaction on learning about the track, he said, “When I first came to know about Toshu getting a paralytic attack, I was like, let’s go for it. It is something different and I was pumped up for the same. I deliberately did not follow any actor who’ve played such a role because I wanted to make it look organic and authentic. I observed a few real-life patients as my research work. I informed my team members about my decision of observing the patients and they were happy about the same. My mother has stopped watching the show since this track has begun. I tried to convince her but in vain.”

Talking about the difficulty on portraying the character, Ashish said, “Honestly, it is a tough task. I need to keep my body and jaw titled towards one side and hold the same posture for more than half an hour on even forty-five minutes, depending upon the scene. After the cut, it gets difficult to get back to my normal self. It is physically and emotionally taxing. It has made me more sensitive towards patients who suffers from such ailments.”

When asked about the feedback from fans, Aashish added, “So, I’m not very active on social media but I try to read comments and DMs once in a while. I’ve been getting many messages from people saying that they find my performance very real. There’s one writer from South who messaged me stating that her father went through a similar phase. She showered me with a lot of blessings and said such beautiful things. I feel so grateful and blessed to have touch the hearts of the viewers”.

Producer of the show Rajan Shahi also called me appreciated me for my performance. It’s not very common to receive Rajan Sir’s call. He only picks up the phone to call in rare occasion and I’m enthralled to get his call three times in my journey so far with ‘Anupamaa’.

He only picks up the phone to call in rare occasion and I’m enthralled to get his call three times in my journey so far with ‘Anupamaa’. He also motivated me saying that he likes my honesty towards my work.”
