Everyone was pleasantly surprised when Akshay Kumar presented the first clip from his upcoming Marathi movie, "Vedat Marathe Veer Daudle Saat," in which he plays Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Ajay Devgn resorted to his social account and wrote a heartfelt message for the Khiladi actor after receiving plaudits for his first performance as the Maratha warrior.
Taking to his Twitter handle he wrote, "Dear @akshaykumar, looking forward to seeing you essay the role of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in the Marathi film - वेडात मराठे वीर दौड़ले सात He is my favourite Maratha hero and I’m happy yet another film is being made saluting this great warrior.'"
Well Akshay was quick to respond to Ajay's tweet. He wrote, 'Thank you bhai."
Ajay's love for period drama is an unsaid one as he has been a part of a historical drama titled, 'Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior'. Directed by Om Raut, the film featured Ajay as the Maratha fighter Tanaji Malusare, while Sharad Kelkar played Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. The historical film won three National Awards and Ajay shared the Best Actor.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Ajay will next be seen in 'Bholaa' co-starring Tabu. Akshay, on the other hand, has films like, 'OMG 2', Selfiee' and the Hindi remake of 'Soorarai Pottru' in his pipeline.
