Aneek Dhar, the winner of SaReGaMaPa’s C-2007 is one busy man. Balancing world tour, stage shows, recording of albums, shooting videos, attending shows, concentrating on academics - all these does not sound like a child’s play. But that is what Aneek Dhar – the young sensation, the rage and craze of SaReGaMaPa C2007 is doing these days. Telly Buzz caught up with him for a chit chat when he was in Kolkata for a live show.
What about playback singing? Has he got anything in the pipeline? He informs that he has recorded a few songs for Bengali and Hindi films. “Just now, I can’t get into too much details on that. I am not supposed to reveal it now. You all will get to know as soon the albums get released”, Aneek adds with a bit of suspense.
Aneek has taken the advice of well wishers and is going through voice culture mainly to condition his voice for playback singing. That is one more reason why he is cutting down on stage shows or singing assignments these days. On asking about his acedemic endevors, Aneek replies candidly, “I completed my 12th grade exams with flying colours and now I am doing a degree in sound engineering. I always had plans to study this subject. I wanted to pursue an academic line that will finally help me in my music career. I also have a dream to establish a studio of my own in future. This degree will help me even in that.” This sensible young lad definitely knows what his goals are and is working towards that.
How was the world tour experience? “World tour was just fabulous. I dreamt of going overseas always, but that I’ll get to visit almost half the world this way, was something I could have never imagined. The response from the audience from all the places was simply awesome. The experience was also very good,” was Aneek’s exuberant reply.
He is still in close contact with his C-2007 buddies. Apparently they all are still quite close with one another and some of them are in regular touch. While he gets to meet Raja, Mauli, Harpreet and Sumedha on a regular basis and spend time with them, he has to keep in touch his Sarhad Paar friends – Junaid, Amanat and Mussarat via emails. The bonding that was forged during the contest still continues.
It’s refreshing to see such healthy bonds and even more heartening is to see the mature and planned steps taken by this young man to reach his dreams and goals. We look forward to the albums and hope he succeeds in his endeavors.
