Mrunal Jain to enter ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’; to help Akshara and Abhimanyu

Star Plus show ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ has been keeping the fans glued to the TV screens. The current track of the show revolves around Akshara learning about a doctor who can treat Abhimanyu’s ailment. However, the doctor has quit doing surgeries. Akshara has learned that only he can operate Abhimanyu’s hand and get him to normalcy.

All this while there has been a lot of speculation regarding the actor who’d play the role. Sources also suggest that the doctor will fell in love with Akshara. Now, as per ETimes, actor Mrunal Jain has been roped in for the prominent character that of Abhimanyu’s doctor. Mrunal has confirmed the buzz and will began shooting for the show soon.

In an interview with ETimes, Mrunal said, "It is a fantastic opportunity for me to be part of the longest running show. I have never played a doctor in my career and I'm already talking to my cousins who are doctors to understand the character."

He added, "I wanted to start working again. The opportunity knocked my door suddenly and I didn't have to give a second thought about this show. It is better to be a part of the show that have loyal audience then doing a show which doesn't assure any eyeballs"

Mrunal was last seen on 70mm in Akshay Kumar starrer ‘Sooryavanshi’ while he has done popular show Uttran. ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ is produced by Rajan Shahi’s Directors’ Kut Production. The show has a stellar star cast including actors like Harshad Chopda, Pranali Rathod, Sachin Tyagi, Karishma Sawant among others.
