It is almost impossible to think that actor Mouli Ganguly hasn't even touched her 40s yet but has already spawned a career on the small screen of more than two decades. That's right.
Debuting with a small appearance in Baksho Rahasya way back in 1996, she became a household name playing the lead in Kaahinn Kissi Roz in 2001 to 2004. Ever since then Ganguly has done some other iconic roles as well but lately has been picky about the characters she chooses to portray.
Last seen in a small role in Shakti... Astitva Ke Ehsaas Kii, Ganguly is now all set to make a return with upcoming show, Bal Shiv. The mythological show is said to be featuring The childhood story of Lord Shiva- which is unheard and untested of.
And apart from Ganguly, veteran Jaya Bhattacharya has also been roped in to play an important role. On her part, Bhattacharya confirmed to ETimes TV saying, “Yes, I am going to be a part of the show, but it will be a cameo. I have been roped in to play Parvati’s mother in the show. I am excited to join the cast of Bal Shiv since it has been a while since I was in a costume drama. I find it a lot of fun. It’s a nice break from the regular daily soaps. Kuch alag karne ko milta hai. I love mouthing dialogues in chaste Hindi, the diction, and the elaborate costumes."
And coming to Ganguly, she will be playing Anusuya, the wife of an ancient sage named Arti and daughter of Prasuti and Daksha according to the Hindu epics. When contacted, Ganguly said, “I have been approached for the part, but nothing is finalised yet.”
