Well, who can forget the scene of the Mid 70’s movie ‘Deewar’ where Amitabh Bachchan and Shashi Kapoor’s heated confrontation ends with the very famous dialogue “Mere pass MAA hai”….In the same way, the very latest song from the movie ‘Taare Zameen Par’, ‘Tujhe Sab Hai Pata Meri Maa’ sums up the importance of mothers in our lives!! Share any funny incident where your mom caught you red handed doing something naughty or mischievous?
I was sitting with a group of friends and according to her I was to be in college. Mom was trying to get in touch with me on my cell phone, but I wasn’t answering her calls as she would hear the music in the cafeteria. The funniest part was that she was right behind me! I got a heart attack of my life!! In front of my friends, she did not say anything, but when I went back home, I got big lectures.

What kind of relationship do you share with your mom?
We are the best of friends. Wherever I go, be it to parties or to shop, I always take her along with me. But I am mostly my father’s daughter, so whenever I make a mistake and my dad takes my side, we have a huge fight with mom!

Have you planned anything special for her for Mother’s Day?
Yes I have planned a surprise for her. She loves gold and shopping. So I am giving her gold bangles and taking her out with her friends for dinner.

What advice you would like to give those people who ignore their parents or throw them out when they enter their old age?
I do not want to advise them, but I want to tell them that whatever you do is what you will get back later.

Prachi Desai:

Share any funny incident where your mom caught you red handed doing something naughty or mischievous?
(Laughs)... I will have to remember. When I was just 3-4 years old, I took the cream that my grand mom used to apply for her leg pain and smeared it all over her body when she was asleep. I had even smeared it upon myself too and my mom did not know how to react.

What kind of relationship do you share with your mom?
Totally a friend!! I have a sister just a year older than me and I think me, my mom and my sister are best of friends.

A message to your mom on Mother’s Day..
I think she is the best mother in the whole world and on this day, I wish her a happy mother’s day. I think you must have always seen her with me; she is not just present but also encourages me for everything I do. I love her a lot. I will do everything for her to keep her happy.

What advice you would like to give those people who ignore their parents or throw them out when they enter their old age?
It’s so heart breaking and when I see such news on television I feel really sad. I have my grand mom staying with me and my mom is so close to her mom. I have seen this always and I really like her. I feel if you ignore your parents, there will come a day when you will be ignored by your kids.

Once when I was preparing for my exams in school, my mom caught me red-handed when I was making chits to use during the exam. Then it was her hands that did all the talking!!!

What kind of relationship do you share with your mom?
We have fun when together! I share each and everything with her!!

Have you planned anything special for her for Mother’s Day?
If I am not shooting, then I will forcefully take my mother out to shop for her. She hates to shop, but I will make her shop..

What advice you would like to give those people who ignore their parents or throw them out when they enter their old age?
I think it’s one of the worst things a child can do and one shouldn’t forget that when we were kids, it was our parents who took care of us. I feel it is the duty of every grown-up person to take care of his/her parents..

Actually mom has never caught me red handed as she is like a friend to me. So I didn’t have to hide anything from her.

What kind of relationship do you share with your mom?
She is the most amazing mother on this earth and she has allowed to me to do everything in life that I wish to do. Actually my parents have faith in me that I will never do anything wrong and that faith has kept me going on the right path. The relation is so good that I never needed to hide anything from her.

A message to your mom on Mother’s Day..
Today I would like to tell her that I want to be a mother like her in future and if I am even 50% of what she is, then I will be successful and will feel fortunate. Thanks for all your unconditional love, mom!

What advice you would like to give those people who ignore their parents or throw them out when they enter their old age?
I think that’s the worst thing a child could do to a parent. I think one should never forget that when you were an infant, parents were the one to take care and without them, we could not see this world today. I think we should always be obliged and grateful to parents. So love your parents!

Abigail Pandey:

Share any funny incident where your mom caught you red handed doing something naughty or mischievous?
I don’t think I have done anything where my mom has caught me red handed. I would like to share a funny incident - it was my mom’s birthday and we had planned a surprise for her. She was supposed to go to aunt’s house and as soon as she left, we started to prepare for the party, but unfortunately she came back as she had left her cell at home and caught us doing all the preparation for the party…

What kind of relationship do you share with your mom?
I think my mom is my best friend. She is so sweet and only because she gave me permission, I have bunked 80% of classes in college grins). She is very supportive of me and I share everything with her, right from having a crush on some one to bunking college!

A message to your mom on Mother’s Day..
I would definitely like to tell her Thanks mom for being my best friend and being so supportive about everything. I love you a lot!

Share any funny incident where your mom caught you red handed doing something naughty or mischievous?
I have always been very careful when it comes to my antics so that I would never get caught by my mother. But, back when I was in school, my mum used to never take up my studies. But unfortunately one day she decided to take up my studies and I did not know anything. I received a good spanking from her, so henceforth I make sure that I am very careful around her.

What kind of relationship do you share with your mom?
I share an amazing relationship with my mother. She is one of the most amazing and wonderful person I know. She is the most important person in my life.

A message to your mom on Mother’s Day..
Actually I don't believe in Mother's Day. I don't think there needs to be a special day to celebrate your mother's love. In fact I feel everyday should be mother’s day. Love and respect should be given to your mother everyday, and not just on this day.

What advice you would like to give those people who ignore their parents or throw them out when they enter their old age?
I think they are the meanest people in the whole world to do such a thing and I don't have a single word of advice for such people.

So on this Mother's Day, show your mom the appreciation she deserves!! Even a simple Thank You with a Flower will do!! But remember, she is your mom, so don’t be Stingy!!
