For the unversed, the film draws inspiration from the real-life events surrounding late Jaswant Singh Gill, a hero who led India's first successful coal mine rescue mission.
Scheduled for release on October 6, the film has already generated excitement with the release of the track "Jalsa 2.0," featuring Akshay and Parineeti in vibrant Punjabi attire.
Directed by Tinu Suresh Desai and produced by Vashu Bhagnani, Jackky Bhagnani, Deepshikha Deshmukh, and Ajay Kapoor, "Mission Raniganj" marks Akshay's collaboration with director Tinu Suresh Desai, known for the crime thriller "Rustom."
In addition to "Mission Raniganj," Akshay Kumar has a packed lineup, including the Hindi remake of the Tamil drama "Soorarai Pottru," slated for release on February 16, 2024. He is also set to star in an action thriller alongside Tiger Shroff titled "Bade Miyan Chote Miyan" and a comedy film, "Housefull 5."
