MIA Bollywood Stars of 2015
Despite the variety presented and the numerous opportunities of seeing some of our favorites on the big screen, there were some actors we sorely missed this past year.

The year 2015 was a rather successful year for Bollywood. There was a plethora of not only mainstream films under large banners, but also numerous successes were seen come out of parallel cinema. Despite the variety presented and the numerous opportunities of seeing some of our favorites on the big screen, there were some actors we sorely missed this past year.
This good looking and talented actor, rightly called the Greek God of Bollywood, was last seen in
Bang Bang! (2014), and is currently working on
Sanjay Gupta's
Mohenjo Daro. While he did make an appearance in a music video, "Dheere Dheere", and stole the hearts of millions, he was missing in action from the silver screen. Given the number of issues surrounding his upcoming movie, one can only hope that the film does release the following year, as such a talented person shouldn't be kept away from the masses for too long!
Last seen in
Daawat-E-Ishq (2014), Kapur has been busy shooting for
Abhishek Kapoor's
Fitoor opposite the beautiful
Katrina Kaif. Owing to the fact that the movie seems to have faced quite a few issues with
Rekha walking out of the film after a few days of shoot,
Tabu coming in to replace her, the re-shooting of some scenes, Kapur has been extremely busy filming this ambitious project. Given that everyone has high expectations from this adaptations of Charles Dickens'
Great Expectations, we're not complaining very much!
This Pakistani heartthrob who seems to make every female go weak in the knees made his extremely successful Bollywood debut in 2014 with
Shashanka Ghosh's
Khoobsurat(2014), and had no release this past year, much to everyone's utter disappointment. However, he has been shooting for
Karan Johar's
Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, alongside
Ranbir Kapoor,
Anushka Sharma, and
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, and he's also doing
Shakun Batra's
Kapoor & Sons opposite
Alia Bhatt, both of which are scheduled to release in 2016. Ladies, it's time to heave a sigh of relief as he will soon be back to enthral us on the silver screen!
Bollywood's very own perfectionist,
Aamir Khan has been furiously prepping and working on his upcoming film
Dangal, scheduled for a 2016 release. Based on the life of Mahavir Singh Phogat, father to famous wrestlers Babita Kumari and Geeta Phogat, the movie is said to be extremely demanding, requiring Khan to weigh around 100 kilograms for the role! With the amount of effort and dedication put into this film, scheduled to release on Christmas of 2016, one can only wait with bated breaths for this masterpiece!
The only female on our list, Chopra was last seen in Daawat-E-Ishq (2014), which under-performed at the box office. Since then, the beautiful actress has taken a sabbatical of sorts to focus on her new house and her health. Practicing the art of Kalariyapattu, Chopra has shed quite a bit of weight to become leaner and fitter, and recently released a photoshoot of the same - with the theme "Born This Way". With a cameo appearance in Y-Films' web series, A Man's World, one only hopes this vivacious actress soon makes her return to the silver screen with a bang!
