#MeToo Accused Comedian Utsav Chakraborty Pleads ‘Not Guilty’ In A Series Of Tweets

In the wake of awareness about sexual harassment and misconduct, #MeToo fever took over the social media by storm. Innumerable posts and tweets were made against a lot of big shots of almost every industry which left everyone shocked. From Nana Patekar, Anu Malik, Utsav Chakraborty to Alok Nath and many more, the MeToo campaign though raised powerful subject but some of the fake cases have baffled us. 

AIB comedian and writer Utsav Chakraborty was accused by a co-worker of sending sexually explicit texts to her and several other women. Now, in a series of tweets, Utsav has broken silence on the matter. This happened after a leaked audio clip surfaced online purportedly between the accuser’s lawyer and the comedian. The clip claims to be the conversation between Utsav and the lawyer on 14 November 2018.

Apart from this, Utsav revealed more such proofs and information to plead his innocence in the matter. However, this leaves us with the question, if so many fake cases are reported then how do we find out the authenticity of the accuser and accused? Is MeToo campaign a success or a nightmare?
