Meet the NEW 'Simar' of Sasural Simar Ka!

After Dipika Kakar quit her iconic character to concentrate on her personal life, Keerti Gaekwad Kelkar has been roped in to fill her shoe as the lead 'Simar' in Colors' show Sasural Simar ka.

The actress who is returning to television after six years confirmed to a leading daily that she wanted to return to television with a good project. She expressed that she is nervous and excited to face the camera after a long gap.

Sasural Simar Ka will bring its focus back on the mother-daughter relationship and Keerti believes that the role of a 'Simar' suits her perfectly. She believes that she will be able to justify the character well since she is also a mother.

Keerti also admitted that since the character of Simar is already established, the challenge lies in adding some freshness to it.
