Meet Aastha of Babul Ka Aangann Chootey Naa.

Aastha Chaudary has been seen on television doing miniscule roles till now. Sony’s Babul Ka Aangann Chootey Na is her big break where she plays the main protagonist Aastha Joshi.

So what made her choose a typical character like that of Aastha as her first television lead role? “I know this is my first serial as the main lead, but I chose this role because the story appealed a lot to me and is very close to my heart”, says Aastha. And how is the protagonist's character? Aastha replies, “The whole story of the serial revolves around Aastha. She is a very sweet, simple, humble, caring and responsible girl. There is a twist in her life after she gets married and goes to her new house. Here she is faced with the dilemma of making a choice between her family and her in-laws. The serial is all about the way she manages to strike a balance between the two.”

“I completely epitomize the character I am playing in the serial as I am also just like Aastha and believe in the same principles that she does”, adds in the actress.. Talking about future plans Aastha says, “Right now I am concentrating on this one serial and am happy working here. I don’t think I want to take up any new projects at the moment.” Amazingly, the girl believes in self-satisfaction and does not dream big at this stage of her career. Aastha says, “I am very happy working with television right now and I have no intentions of moving to films in the future either.”
