The veteran actress has showcased her talent on both the small and big screen with characters like that of Dadi in the famous Yeh Pyaar Na Hoga Kam. She has also done shows like Gunaho Ka Devta and Ganga Ki Dheej.

The latest we hear is that Meenakshi Verma has been roped in to play a vital role in UTV's next, Shubh Vivaah on Sony TV. Recently, we reported about Aashka Goradia essaying Eijaz's friend.

A source informs Tellybuzz, "Meenakshi would essay the character of Kaushalya, Eijaz Khan's mother who has various shades in her but is somewhere a selfish mother. In spite of knowing for a fact that her son visits a married woman (Aashka Goradia) and keeps a close friendship with her, she stays quiet. As she helps them financially, Kaushalya keeps mum and encourage his son's deeds."

We contacted Meenakshi who confirms, "Yes, I am essaying Kaushalya and am eagerly waiting for the show to go on air."

The show is expected to go on air from 27th of February at 8:00 PM whereas Kuch Toh Log Kahenge would shift to 11:00 PM slot.

Hope the show grips more eye balls with such a great cast!
