Kanchan Saxena is the fourth daughter of Mr Saxena. She is reserved by nature. The reason for which is the dominance of Karuna and Saroj. They being the elder sisters in the family received all the attention as they took the responsibility of the entire household upon them. Neelu, on the other hand, had the ability to draw attention while Meenu being the youngest is very close to Saxena. So Kanchan gets sandwiched between the love and attention received by her sisters, leaving her somewhat isolated. This made Kanchan an attention seeker. She speaks less but whatever she says, is very sure of it.
Kaushalya is the mother of Amrit, Vinod and Shikha. Her husband passed away when her children were very young. So Kaushalya had to work to take care of her family. In fact she even had to work as a maid - sweeping floors, and cleaning dirty plates to feed her children. Kaushalya is very possessive about her children especially Amrit.
Madan is the son of Saxena’s close friend. Saxena’s friend, who was like his brother, died when his only son Madan, was very young. As Madan was already motherless Saxena took care of him. Madan grew up with Saxena’s daughters peacefully.
