Ayushmann Khurrana's Bala gets a new release date and will now come on 7th November, 2019...
Friendships in Bollywood are fragile but then there are a few who cross boundaries to prove that they value their relationships above everything.
In a similar incident, producer Bhushan Kumar is winning hearts for his recent act. His film Marjaavaan starring Sidharth Malhotra, Riteish Deshmukh, Rakul Preet Singh and Tara Sutaria was scheduled for a release on November 8, 2019 but now as a kind gesture towards his friend Dinesh Vijan, he has shifted the release of his movie to November 15, 2019.
Dinesh Vijan’s Bala starring Ayushmann Khurrana, Bhumi Pednekar and Yami Gautam has now been preponed and will be releasing on November 7, 2019.
Announcing about postponing his film's release, Bhushan wrote: "I’ve had a long standing relationship with @MaddockFilms and #DineshVijan is also a dear friend. I’ve decided to shift #Marjaavaan to 15th November 2019, to make way for #Bala. My best wishes to the team!@TSeries"
Expressing their gratitude towards Bhushan's kind gesture, Maddock films' reverted: "Before anything Bhushan is a friend, and he understands how impactful the release date of a film can be. He’s been kind enough to move marjaavan and let Bala come, and for that I’m grateful. - Dinesh Vijan"
Directed by Amar Kaushik, Bala is a film set in Kanpur that revolves around a man suffering from premature balding and the lack of confidence and socital pressure which runs with it. The film also features Bhumi Pednekar and Yami Gautam in lead roles.
For those unaware, Marjaavan was earlier scheduled for a release on October 2, 2019. But, then it was postponed and was set to release on November 22, 2019 which in turn resulted in a clash with Ayushmann Khurran's Bala. But, since the makers wanted a solo release they requested John Abraham to push his film Pagalpanti's release and the actor did the needful and shifted his film to November 22, leaving November 8 for Marjaavaan. Rest as we know is a history!
Now, since Marjaavan has shifted it's release to make way for Bala, the latter still is releasing a day before Abhishek Pathak's directorial debut Ujda Chaman which too is based on similar lines of a balding man, starring Sunny Singh in the lead role. The trailer of the film created quite a buzz and the makers went on to promote it with the tagline, "Takle Ki Pehli Aur Asli Film".
Ujda Chaman is slated for a November 8 release, and Bala will be releasing a day before on November 7!
