Manoj Kumar's Funeral Preparations Underway; Cremation to be held at THIS place

Renowned actor and director Manoj Kumar breathed his last at Mumbai's Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital on Friday. The beloved "angry young man" of Indian cinema passed away on Friday at the age of 87 after a prolonged illness. His passing marks the end of an era in Bollywood, leaving a void that will be difficult to fill.

The residence of the late actor-filmmaker Manoj Kumar is abuzz with activity as family, friends, and fans prepare to pay their last respects.

Manoj Kumar's final journey will begin later today, with his cremation scheduled to take place at Pawan Hans.

Kunal also spoke about his father's final days, revealing the pain Manoj Kumar endured before passing away peacefully. "There was a lot of pain. When organs fail, there are a lot of pains... But ultimately, I think it was more towards the heart. He passed away peacefully. I am thankful to God for that," he said.

Recalling his father's final hours, Kunal shared a poignant memory: "I woke up at 4:30 in the morning. He was unwell. He had been unwell for a long time. We were praying that his pain would reduce... Doctors were trying a lot," he told IANS.

The passing of Manoj Kumar, the "Bharat" of Indian cinema, has left a void in the industry. His iconic patriotic films like "Upkar," "Purab Aur Paschim," and "Kranti" continue to inspire generations. Tributes poured in from across the country, with everyone from Prime Minister Modi to President Murmu and members of the film industry like Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar, and Aamir Khan expressing their grief and admiration.
