Manoj Bajpayee recalls that Shah Rukh Khan was the first person to take him to a disco

Despite his immense talent and widespread recognition, actor Manoj Bajpayee likes to maintain a low profile and only discusses his work when necessary. The Family Man, the actor’s critically acclaimed online series that launched him into the OTT arena, is now scheduled to return with a third season that would purportedly focus on terrorism in North East India.

The Gangs of Wasseypur actor recently told up about the night he went to a discotheque with Shah Rukh Khan in Delhi during a conversation with Curly Tales. Manoj, who hails from a small hamlet in Bihar, has never seen this kind of living and was actually wearing slippers when they decided to attend one.

He said, that it was long time ago that he went to a night club called Ghungroo in Delhi. And he just wore simple chappal at that time. And later he said somehow he managed to get shoes.

The Satya actor then went on to add, when he went inside, that was the first time he saw that life.For he first time he Got to know what a night club is. The others were busy dancing while Manoj sat in a corner sipping on his wine.

The actor hasn't changed at all over the years and avoids the glitz and glamour in favour of letting his work speak for itself.

Manoj is currently preparing for his upcoming project , Gulmohar, which is very dear to him because it tells the emotional story of a family, led by a matriarch, who decides to sell their ancestral property. Sharmila Tagore, Suraj Sharma, Simran, and Amol Palekar are also featured in Gulmohar. Rahul V. Chittella is the director, and it will start streaming on Disney Plus Hotstar on March 3.
