Actress Shruti Anand, who was last seen playing the lead role in the Dangal TV show Mann Sundar, is currently staying away from screens. Recently, we got in touch with the actress and asked her about the kind of role she is looking forward to taking up.

Shruti says, “You know, when you do a TV show and live a character for a long period, an actor gets boxed in a particular zone and it gets difficult for the audience to visualise us in any other way. I played Ruchita for almost 2 years, so now I am up for trying new things as it helps an actor to grow professionally too. No doubt, the show has given me a lot and I will always be grateful for it.”

Further, the actress adds, “Now I want to experiment with the character I will do in the future, because it’s important for everyone to envision you in a character different from what you were playing. The new character I will take up should be like a fresh breath of air for me. Being an actor, I cannot do similar kinds of roles repeatedly because what matters the most for long term survival is ‘experimentation’. So, in future, whatever project I do or character I take up should be something strong, catchy and meaningful.”

Professionally, Shruti was last seen as the lead (Ruchita) in the TV show Mann Sundar. She made her television debut with Teri Ladli Main.
