New Delhi, May 18 (IANS) Now Indian designers Manish Arora and Narendra Kumar's pret lines will be accessible to the customers as they have tied up with global department store Debenhams to retail an exclusive line at ready to wear prices.

Debenhams, which has a history of collaborating with acclaimed designers and retailing exclusive creations by international names like Jasper Conran, John Rocha, Betty Jackson Black, H! by Henry Holland, and Ben De Lisi since 1993, have brought the concept to India for the first time.

The collections by the two designers have been priced attractively from Rs.1,995-Rs.10,000. These are available at the Debenhams Store at the Ambience Mall, Gurgaon as a permanent addition to the store's in-house designer wear.

Both designers are upbeat about the tie-up.

'I am very excited to be associated with Debenhams and greatly appreciate this new relationship. I also look forward to us doing great business together,' said Arora, whose collection comprises of funky t-shirts, psychedelic print tights, high waist hot pants, flowing kaftans and bright summer dresses in his signature style.

Kumar's collection consists of mix and match co-ordinates, soft jersey dresses, billowy cotton silk shirts and blouses, printed leggings, cropped trousers, linen jackets and summer accessories.

'It is a great honour to collaborate with Debenhams. Our exclusive women's wear line for Debenhams comprises of elegant day and loungewear in predominately clean-silhouettes, with a strong accent on exclusively designed signature prints based on Indian motifs,' he said.

The designers' collections have been introduced to cater to the modern Indian woman, said Aditya Nadkarni, business head, Debenhams.

'The Indian woman is today globally travelled and has an eye for sophistication. Keeping in mind their sensibilities, these designers have created an exclusive collection for the contemporary Indian women,' said Nadkarni.

'Manish Arora and Narendra Kumar have international design sensibilities and are masters in their craft. They are known for attention to detail in areas such as cuts, silhouettes and finishing,' he added.
