With so many shows coming and going on-air and off-air, there has seldom been a show with a couple that is elderly in age an the leading face of a show. That is all set to happen soon as we known producer Rajita Sharma is all set and rolling to be presenting her show that stars Rajendra Gupta and Sushmita Mukherjee in lead roles.

And as the promo of the show has already gone on-air, more casting updates are coming in where actor Mamta Verma has bagged an important role as well. The actor will be seen playing Gupta's on-screen daughter-in-law in the show. Verma recently played the on-screen mother to actor Esha Kansara in the show, Zindagi Mere Ghar Aana. Talking about it with ETimes TV, Verma said, “Zindagi was a beautiful show and I received positive feedback for it. So, it was obviously upsetting when the decision to pull it off air was taken. It is never a nice feeling when a show wraps up, as a lot of people bank on it for their livelihood.”

Talking about her new character being different from the other one, she said, “Yes, the new character has a different shade though it’s again a positive one. As an artiste, you always want to play different characters.”

She also talked about sharing screen space with veterans like Gupta and Mukherjee as she said, “It’s nice to work with senior people, as you get to learn a lot from them and hone your skills along the way. Experienced people enhance your performance. I worked with Sulbha Arya ji and Sudhir Pandey ji in my previous show and in the new one, I am working with another set of experienced actors. It’s so heartwarming to realise that even after achieving so much in their career, they continue to be down-to-earth, real and dedicated towards their craft. It inspires you to stay rooted, too. It makes you believe that passion and emotion kabhi khona nahi chahiye because when I decided to become an actor, I first thought of passion and emotion, and not glamour or money associated with it.”
