Colors' Choti Sardarni, now a longrunner for the channel continues to perform well inspite of having gone through an array of developments.

Apart from leading lady Nimrit Ahluwalia's brief exit and re-entry, the show went in for a five year leap back in February. Several entries and exits have taken place otherwise but it would be safe to say that the show is going in for its biggest change so far. The show is all set to witness another leap - this time one of 20 long years.

That's right. Needless to say, this would mean the kids in the show growing up and more new entries coming in as replacements. We have already reported about the many instances happening where we reported Shehzada Dhami will play the grown-up Param, Adhik Mehta will play the grown-up Karan, and Ahluwalia will play her own grown-up daughter.

And now the biggest development is coming in that actor Mahir Pandhi has been roped in to play the new lead opposite Ahluwalia in the show. As one would remember, current leading man Avinesh Rekhi is all set to quit the show post the long leap and that's where Pandhi comes in. Sources suggest that they will be paired together and while Pandhi has been a part of a few web shows, he is still a relatively new face and thus it will be a fresh pairing to witness.

We are certain it will fetch a lot of interest indeed.
