Mahakumbh on Zee TV..

After the culmination of Zee TV's ongoing show SaReGaMaPa L'il Champs, viewers will be witnessing with yet another singing realty show which is tentatively titled Mahakumbh.

According to our source, "L'il Champs will conclude sometime in October after which this show will be seen. The second season of Dance India Dance will be launched only in December or January 2010, and Mahakumbh has been planned to fill the slot for two months or so. Mahakumbh will feature former winners, runners-up etc. The contestants will be grouped by the states they represent".

"Talents like Raja Hassan, Sumedha Karmahe, Aneek Dhar, Rohanpreet Singh, Vasundhara Raturi, Sanchita Mukherjee, Anamika, Aamir Hafiz, Pratibha Singh and many others have been approached for the show", informs our source.

The shoot for the show is expected to start from the second week of October.

We contacted Raja Hassan, who said, "Yes, talks are on. I will let you know once all is finalized".

Aneek Dhar also accepted to being offered the show, but refused to divulge details.

We tried calling Ajay Bhalwankar, Programming Head, Zee TV but he remained unavailable.
