Rannvijay Singha approached to host Zee TV’s New Reality show

Zee TV is preparing to launch a brand-new reality show, and it’s already creating buzz. According to exclusive information from India Forums, the channel is collaborating with production house Banijay to create an exciting new show inspired by the popular Marathi reality series Jau Bai Gaavat, which aired on Zee Marathi.

The show, tentatively titled Gori Chale Gaon, will bring a fresh twist to Hindi television. The format will take city-based contestants—used to a luxurious lifestyle—and place them in a rural setting. There, they will have to perform basic village tasks like milking cows, doing manual labor, and lifting heavy items. The idea is to challenge participants by removing the comforts of urban life and giving them a taste of rural India.

Recently, the makers have approached popular TV personality Rannvijay Singha to host the show. While nothing is finalized yet, discussions are underway.

Rannvijay is best known for his long-time association with MTV’s Roadies. He first gained fame after winning the show in 2003 and later became its face for many years until he stepped down in 2021. However, he made a comeback in 2024 as the host of Roadies Season 20: Double Cross.

If finalized, Rannvijay’s return as a host on Gori Chale Gaon would be a major highlight. His experience with reality shows and his popularity among youth could bring great energy to the project.

The original Marathi version, Jau Bai Gaavat, was hosted by Hardeek Joshi and was well-loved for its simple yet engaging concept. Its grand finale featured Marathi stars like Sonalee Kulkarni and Kushal Badrike, adding extra glamour to the show.

With Banijay Asia at the helm, expectations are high. Gori Chale Gaon aims to offer more than just entertainment—it hopes to bridge the gap between urban and rural life through a fun, cultural experience.
