Madhuri Dixit Nene's father passes away

Madhuri Dixit Nene lost her father Shankar Dixit this morning to a prolonged disease.

A day before he passed away, the doctors treating the actress's  father had informed the family about his deteriorating health.

Madhuri is currently shooting for the dance reality show Jhalak Dikhla Jaa, but after the sudden demise of her father, she would not be able to continue shooting for the finale episode.

A source from the show says, "We were to shoot today also, but it has been called off keeping in mind Madhuri's loss. Half the portion of the finale episode has already been shot and  Madhuri may not be there to shoot for the remaining half."
