Lying to parents about having partners is totally not acceptable: Adhik Mehta on current track of ‘Anupamaa’

Star Plus show ‘Anupamaa’ is getting quite interesting with each passing episode. The current track of the show revolves around Pakhi and Adhik getting caught red-handed walking out of a private room in a resort. This has come as a shocker for both Shah and Kapadiya families. 

What came as a surprise to the viewers was that Adhik announced being genuinely in love with Pakhi and is not plotting against her or Anupamaa. India Forums got in touch with Adhik Mehta who plays the character of Adhik in the show and asked him about the current track of the show, he said, “I absolutely loved the track. I was really shocked and excited as well when I read the script for the first time. The script turned out to be very challenging because I’ve never played such character”.

Sharing his views on the young generation hiding their relationships and lying to their parents, Adhik said, “According to me, we live in a mixed society where at one end, a family is comfortable with their children having partners while the other half isn’t. Well, I strictly follow the no lying policy. Lying to parents about having girlfriends and boyfriends is totally not acceptable”.

I’m really thankful to all the audience watching Anupamaa, and appreciating my performance, not on the basis of character I am playing, but on the basis of an actor that I am. The best part is that there are people who don’t like my character, but love my performance.

So, is Pakhi- Adhik’s wedding on cards? He said, “Well, I’m not sure about the same, but I think Pakhi- Adhik’s wedding will make the story more interesting”.

We asked him about his thoughts on teenagers taking their parents’ for granted. He said, “Yes, absolutely I agree that teenagers go overboard and take their parents for granted and if I talk about the current generation, these things are happening on a daily basis. They are not admiring and understanding how much hard work, their parents have to do in order to provide them with basic needs”.

Talking about the feedback on his performance in the show, Adhik added, “I’m really thankful to all the audience watching Anupamaa, and appreciating my performance, not on the basis of character I am playing, but on the basis of an actor that I am. The best part is that there are people who don’t like my character, but love my performance”.
