On the occasion of Alia Bhatt's birthday, we list down five things we can learn from her movies. Take a look.

Alia Bhatt, who started her career at a pretty young age, has pulled of phenomenal roles on the big screens. The choice of her films have always been different. Alia has 5 films in her kitty currently and all of them teach us some life changing lesson.

Student Of The Year

SOTY was her debut where she played the diva of the school, Shanaya. And contrary to what divas are believed to be - rude and snotty, Shanaya was soft-hearted and down-to-earth. She had no qualities of a rich brat but was always helpful and kind.

Highway

Highway captured the story of Veera, who is kidnapped by a goon and during her days as a captive, she actually liberates herself from all personal issues plaguing her being. Veera has had a history of child abuse and her mother does not back her up. Ultimately when she is returned to her family, she takes a stand and voices her wish to not return back to them. She does what is right for herself.

2 States

Two states saw Alia paired opposite her then rumoured boyfriend Arjun Kapoor. The film was an adaptation of renowned writer Chetan Bhagat's much acclaimed novel 2 States. The whole plot of the film was how Krish and Ananya, being a Punjabi and South Indian respectively, struggle in their love life to convince their parents about their love. Even though they have all chances to run away and marry, both want to get married with their parents' blessings only.

Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhaniya

This film was touted to be the revamped version of DDLJ. Kavya comes to Delhi to shop for her 'Kareena wala designer lehenga' and the moment Humpty sees he, he is smitten. Even though Kavya and Humpty were not looking out for love, they fall head over heels for each other. And how they fight for their love and Alia keeps her fairy tale dream alive forms the crux of the story.

Shaandaar

In Shandaar, Alia was paired opposite Shahid Kapoor and they both played insomniacs. Not only that, Alia played the weird and wacky girl to the 'T'.
