'Left Right Left' actor Gazal Rai blessed with a baby boy; reveals name as well

It was only a while ago when we reported about how actor Gazal Rai is expecting her first child with husband, Krunal Sodha, who is a corporate professional. The couple tied the knot back in 2017. And now, the couple is on cloud nine indeed as they have welcomed their first child together to the world, a baby boy.

In fact, the baby arrived after the auspicious festival of Janmasthami which leads to Rai fondly calling her Kanha. Talking about it with ETimes TV, Rai said, “My baby was born on August 31. Just like little Kanhaji, my baby started working his way out at 12 am (smiles). Given that my husband (Krunal Sodha) and I are so spiritual, the eventful day became even more special.”

It has only been over a week since the baby was born and hence the feeling of being a mother is just settling in. About it, she said, “After my labour, I was dying to have a look at him and the very first feeling when I held him in my arms is hard to describe. It was such an overwhelming feeling seeing the little human that I had created inside me. Amongst all the wonders in the world, this is something I feel is the most magical thing. The first time when I held his face and those little fingers, all the hours of labour pain became worthwhile. Even now, when I look at him, I become emotional.”

She said that her baby boy is named Krishiv, “It is a combination of Lord Krishna and Lord Shiva. That’s because he was born on the night of Janmashtami during the holy month of Shravan. We felt this way he would always get the blessings of my two favourite deities.”

We wish the couple loads of congratulations.

Rai is best known for her role in the youth show, Left Right Left from years ago.
