Happy news is coming in as actor Gazal Rai is expecting her first child with husband, Krunal Sodha, who is a corporate professional. The couple tied the knot back in 2017. Talking about it with ETImes TV, Rai said, “The baby is due at the end of August. It’s the best feeling ever. I am so excited to begin a new chapter in my life. I am thrilled and awaiting the curveballs that are going to come my way (smiles).”

She also mentioned how they have been busy finding a name for the boy and girl, “We have been pondering over names since the time we came to know that we were pregnant. It isn’t an easy task, to be honest. A name is a gift you give to your child for life and we want to give our child the best gift. We have been shortlisting names and thankfully, we are on the same page. We want a traditional name and hope to zero in on the same option.”

Rai has been sporadically active in the television front as she continues to be best remembered for her role in Left Right Left, she has been constantly active in the theatre world. Talking about maternity break, she said, “I have been acting constantly. All this while, I was dabbling in theatre. In fact, we launched a new play just before the pandemic. Now, it’s been a year-and-a-half since we went on stage. Theatre is a live art and it’s not possible to perform in front of a lesser audience. So yes, I am waiting for things to get normal and return to work. When a good opportunity comes your way, you must not wait.”

We wish the couple loads of congratulations and hope the mother has a smooth delivery ahead.
