When dealing with serials, makers always introduce highs and lows, turns and leaps to engross the viewer's attention. The question is do the highs and lows reflect in the trps?' Here are some shows that have taken leaps. Did the leap help the show?

Balika Vadhu

After a couple of leaps Balika Vadhu is still managing to stay on top. The essence of the show of dealing with social topics is still maintained. Yes indeed at times the leaps were too much too handle, but the show still holds a place in the audience's hearts.

Sasural Simar Ka

What can be said about Sasural Simar Ka. The over dramatic story, out of nowhere appearing characters, and forever lasting Mataji! The leaps have not done any good to the show. (Bas Karo Ab!)

Qubool Hai

Zee TV's Qubool Hai has killed all the leads to make way for the generation leap. After the leap Asad's and Zoya's twins Sanam and Seher took over the show. And now after the rebirth it will be Mahira, taking the plot ahead. (Arey Bhai Chahte Kya Ho?)

Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai

Star Plus daily soap has taken a leap in March. Post the leap all the children in the show are shown as teenagers. The show now focuses on teenage issues. It is a fair leap as audience seems to be enjoying it.

Madhubala - Ek Ishq Ek Junoon

Madhubala has been the most popular serial on Colors. However after the leads Madhubala and RK were killed to make way for the leap it killed the life of the show. Somehow the leap didn't turn out to be great as it could not engross the audience.

MEIEJ was d most beautiful show, wid d most gorgeous leads ever, wid mindblowing chemistry. D leap didn't work out well, but I remained hooked to it becoz of d lead pair, Drashti and Vivian's sizzling chemistry, which was d charm of d show.

My username says it all. Madhubala Ek Ishq Ek Junoon was, is and will always be the best show on Indian television for me. I agree the leap didn't work well for the show and as a viewer that's what disappointed me the most. However the charm and USP of the show i.e. the chemistry between Drashti Dhami and Vivian Dsena is unbeatable. I have no words to describe this epic couple and the magic that they created as RK-Madhu onscreen. I, as well as my family and friends have watched this show from start to end and terribly miss not having it on air :(
And honestly however hard I've tried, it is just not possible for me to enjoy any show as much as I did while watching Madhubala.

When a show takes leaps to show the natural progress of characters, I.e. children growing up, a couple advancing in life etc. However, when there are frequent leaps and drastic character and actor changes it is hard to follow a program or care anymore. Just my thoughts.

qubool hai is the show that had introduced surbhi jyoti to us ! i can't forget her as bubbly zoya with her lovely shayris ! Season one has given us mona-robbert bonding, Asya nok jhok ! that we can't forget easily.Second season we got to see surbhi jyoti in another lovely character the independent mature sanam . without forgetting sunehri , it was totally different role . we loved a lot saahil due to the amazing chemistery surbhi and karanvir share. And that new season is presenting us a new adorable character which is mahira the innocent cute girl with her jokes.
