Khatija Iqbal Roped in for Amazon Prime’s Inside Edge 2

As we know, Amazon Prime’s popular series Inside Edge is coming with a second season. The season will again see another collaboration of Farhan Akhtar-Ritesh Sidhwani's Excel Entertainment and Amazon Prime Studios after season 1, and shows like Mirzapur and Made in Heaven. Now, the latest buzz suggests that the series will witness some new entries in the cast.

According to reports, actress Khatija Iqbal, who is known for Ragini MMS and Siddhant Sachdev’s Tantra, has been roped for Inside Edge 2. The actress will be seen playing a mysterious girl.

About the series, Inside Edge season 1 is an Amazon Prime’s original series which was a huge hit and was critically acclaimed for its strong storyline and performances. It has also been nominated in the Drama Series category at The International Emmy Awards. 

The story centred around the cricket and the politics surrounding it. The 10 episodes long series, brought into light various issues like abuse of money and power, darker side of cricket, entertainment and politics. It also showcased some famous cricket scandals including the mysterious death of Pakistan Cricket Team coach Bob Woolmer in 2007, IPL spot-fixing case in the year 2013 and  match-fixing allegations in 2000 surrounding Hansie Cronje and Mohammed Azharuddin.

It will see an ensemble cast including  Vivek Oberoi, Sayani Gupta, Sarah-Jane Diaz, Tanuj Virwani, Angad Bedi, Sanjay Suri, Siddhant Chaturvedi. Richa Chadha.
