Akshay Kumar’s film Kesari Chapter 2: The Untold Story of Jallianwala Bagh has shown a strong grip at the box office. Directed by Karan Singh Tyagi, this historical drama collected over ?33.64 crore in just four days. Starring Akshay Kumar, R Madhavan, and Ananya Panday, the film tells a powerful story of courage and truth after the Jallianwala Bagh massacre.

According to early trade reports from Sacnilk, the movie opened with ?7.75 crore on Day 1. Day 2 saw a good jump to ?9.75 crore, followed by ?12 crore on Day 3. On Monday (Day 4), the film added ?4.14 crore more to its account, taking the total collection to ?33.64 crore. The film also recorded an 11.83% occupancy on Monday, which gradually increased throughout the day.

The film’s box office journey has been impressive so far. Audiences have connected with the storyline and the emotional performances of the lead cast. Akshay Kumar plays lawyer C Sankaran Nair, who challenges the British Crown in court, while R Madhavan essays the role of opposing lawyer Neville McKinley. Ananya Panday plays Dilreet Gill, who supports Nair in his fight for justice.

The film is produced by Dharma Productions, Leo Media Collective, and Cape of Good Films. It hit theatres on April 18 and continues to run strong.

Many celebrities also came forward to share their love for the film. Vicky Kaushal posted, “An untold story told with so much grit, sincerity and sensitivity! This is one hell of a directorial debut @karanstyagi.” Katrina Kaif praised the cast saying, “Akshay Kumar, R Madhavan, and Ananya Panday were just terrific. Even Arjun Kapoor and Varun Dhawan lauded the film for its strong performances and storytelling. With such positive word of mouth and solid box office numbers, Kesari Chapter 2 is expected to perform well in the coming days.
