Katrina Kaif and Vijay Sethupathi to team up for Sriram Raghavan’s next?

Katrina Kaif was last seen on screen in the 2019 film Bharat co-starring Salman Khan. Her Rohit Shetty film ‘Sooryavanshi’ was all set for a release when the pandemic hit the nation and it was postponed. During the lockdown, Katrina also signed a film with Ishaan Khatter and Siddhant Chaturvedi, titled ‘Phone Bhoot.’

And if reports are to go by, Kat has bagged yet another project co-starring South superstar  Vijay Sethupathi. Vijay was roped in for Andhadhun director Sriram Raghavan’s next and it looks like now the makers have found their leading lady too.

Raghavan, who also helms Varun Dhawan starrer Ekkis, decided to put the project on hold due to the pandemic and kickstart work on the film starring Vijay Sethupathi. If things turn out well, this will be the first time when Katrina will be seen alongside the South star and we are definitely looking forward to this new pairing. More details are yet to be known about the project.

Speaking of ‘Sooryavanshi’, the highly anticipated action film stars Akshay Kumar in the lead role and marks the reunion of Kat with Akki after nine years. The film also stars Ranveer Singh and Ajay Devgn in a cameo role. The film was initially slated to release on 24 March 2020, but the release has been postponed due to the coronavirus scare. 

Recently, Shibasish Sarkar, CEO, Reliance Entertainment, co-producer of 83 and Sooryavanshi confirmed in an interview that one of the two films will see a theatrical release on Holi this year.
